I refuse to get in the argument that I always got into with the band members of my school.
Ill just say this, both singing and playing an insterment require some form of talent.
EDIT: Baritone to me means the group right inbetween tenor 2 and Bass 1 lol
But i do have a friend that plays the Bary sax, is that what you mean?

Anyway i'm wondering if there are any other Guild Wars Guru person here play any instruments.. I play the bass. Own a fender jbass and a johnson pbass. Well.. I guess you can talk about that type of stuff here. Like new songs you learned, a story you have and etc.

I was in a band from 1993-1997 that played live in austin during the summers. I played keyboard, bass, and guitar, mostly when it ws called for.
I currently make electronic music, but I use real world instruments all the time, and my personal favorite instrument to mess with is a diridoo

Tenor Sax ftw. Been playing since 5th grade. School concert bands since I was in 5th grade, always in the top one. Middle school Jazz Band 7th and 8th grade. In 8th grade I basically split the solos with my Alto friend. We kicked so much ass. Freshman year in high school I was in the freshman band due to scheduling issues. Same with Sophomore, except the next band up. But this year (that makes me a Junior for the people that are a tad slow) I finally got myself into the highest band. I still play jazz on my free time and have been marching with the band all 3 years so far.
Yes... Band girls are hotties.
We call two band members together as bandcest.
Its been known that the drumline (guys) always goes for the flutes (girls).
The saxes (guys) go for the trumpets (girls).
The clarinets (girls) go for other clarinets (guys) or saxes (guys).
This thing is just always what happens. Its really funny. We've had a recent outbreak of trombones (guys) going for trumpet (girls) but I (saxaphone guy, refer to the second point) will put a stop to that.
I know so much about bandcest. Its insane. The biggest one though is the drumline/flute one. I think we are at a total of 3 pairs all at the same time going on. It gets kind of crazy. I couldn't begin to imagine what a flute is like as a person. In our band we generally have the loud and high pitched noisemakers. I can't stand those. Listening to them makes me want to shoot myself, but that is a different story.
And don't even get me started on what seems to be a blooming relationship between a tuba and a saxophone, but then there is another saxophone that wants that first saxophone. It just seems like a bunch of craziness to me. I'm trying my best to stay out of that one. But as a saxophone, I find myself primally attracted to the female trumpets and clarinets.
Wow... I just re-read all of this. It is the most unhealthy thing in the world. Imagine what it would be like if all of those relationships stopped all at once. The band would break into chaos and anarchy. It would be like a bad soap. Yeah. I'm going to stop typing now.
Edit: And a baritone is similar to a trombone in range, but has a more mellow sound and set up like a tuba. Basically a mini-tuba.

Heh... I've been playing since the 4th grade took a break for 2 years beginning 5th grade.
I think of clarinets as unisex. Baritones are Big instruments.
Sarah is so hot. Gotta show you a pic some time, probably on this thread.
BTW band members kiss well.

My school has pretty people. So anyone is fair game for the most part. I actually dated an orchestra person for a little bit. Only problem was: She is mormon. I hate religion.
Just about ended right there. That and the fact that her mom was a control freak that hates men.

I play a lot of instruments. I play:
All clarinets, all saxes sans soprano, oboe and bamboo flute for winds. Then guitar (acustic, rhythm) and piano (focus on jazz). I also sing.
Isn't a baritone just like a euphonium? I know a few euphonium players, I think it has one more key than baritone does. Maybe I'm wrong, haha.
Anywho, I also sing, but, I guess you don't count that as an instrument, even if I have to practice it wicked often >_< Show Choir all the way *waves flag*.
Oh yeah, my latest project is the oboe, out of what I listed : )

Boners rule wahahha gotta love boner jokes..... is it true all tromboners have a tendency to be brazingly loud -- splatness? or is that just us
Yeah, I play Bass Trombone in the band and I'm slowly teaching myself to play the piano...
as for bandcest.... it seems to happen a little too much.... maybe a little too much time spent together or something.... then again, those flute players are hotties... especialy that chinese one... what? bandcest? me, no.

I have a band joke.
There was this band conductor that killed two of his students because they did not play well.
The band conductor was sentenced to death by electrocution.
'Any last requests' the executor says.
'I'll have an orange' says the conductor.
So they electrocute him but it doesn't kill him.
The next day...

NO NO NO!!! WE are not giving you an orange.
Alright then, a banana will do. so he eats the banana.
When they electrocute him it still doesn't work.
Why the hell can't we electrocute this guy?
The crazy director laughs and says,' Because I'm a bad conductor. YOull never kill me ever!!!!one1111.11121oij!onw.
I know you liked that joke.
I also know you like asians. They are hot. Like Lain.

Nope! We're all loud and apparently all gutter-minded, too. At least every boner I've ever met was. And for the record, trombone girls got a thing for the drumline and the low brass.
